Back with another vlog – but this time, to answer a question that a lot of my friends & family have been asking me; “What does your day look like there?” & “What do you do?”
To be completely honest, I’m not sure how to explain “What do you do?” without sounding like I do nothing and everything at the same time.
I was an intern at JapanInfo.com which was a part of Fuji TV; basically JapanInfo was a website that posted blog posts/news for foreigners that are interested in life in Japan, but it reminded me more of Buzzfeed.
Basically, I could do whatever I want and write about whatever I want!
( For some reason, after coming back to Austin I’ve noticed that some of my posts have been deleted and some articles, they even untagged me from my own articles … sketchy.. but ok)
Here’s a few of the articles I’ve wrote!

: Don Quijote was a bit far from the place I was staying at, so I didn’t go as often as I did to the co-op / 7/11 that was about 5 minutes away. Don Quijote reminded me of a Japanase version of Target, where they had literally everything! And I mean EVERYTHING! The only times I really had to go here were when I needed stuff like clothes hangers, a yoga mat, and essentials that I had to buy when I had just arrived in Japan.
2. Day Trip from Tokyo to Kamakura
: I should have a vlog post coming for this day trip soon.. Depends how long it takes to edit all my videos. The Kamakura day trip wasn’t really planned out. My friend, Tanaya, and I were like – “ok, everyone else is going. Let’s GO!” and took a quick look at a friend’s itinerary and just left for Kamakura! Kamakura is located next to the ocean & has a lot of green scenery – which was so nice, because I was getting sick and tired of being surrounded by buildings 24/7.
: One of the articles I had written for their Korean website – about the Gustav Klimt Exhibit that was going on at a local museum. As someone who loves spending hours and hours at art museums, and a fan of Klimt’s art – it was a pleasant surprise to learn that there was a free exhibit going on very close by. Though it was a very small crowded exhibit that didn’t allow any pictures to be taken, it was nice to see how Klimt was influenced by Japan within his art.
: Another article I’ve written for their Korean website! This one was about an Attack on Titans inspired XR ride that was in one of the malls located in Odaiba! I actually had the opportunity to “ride” it – and had to get off in the middle, cause I started feeling extremely nauseous and just knew if I stayed on for a second longer…. It would’ve not been pretty lol. So with my limited Japanese, I had to call out for help & had to request them to take me off the ride… Fun times!
5. 갓챠! 피카츄, 파이리, 꼬오부기~어서와, 포켓몬의 세계로!
: Yes, another article I had written for their Korean website! So, to be completely honest (please don’t hate me after I say this) I’ve never watched a Pokemon episode before. I was one of those kids that had Pokemon cards but had absolutely no idea why she had it, where she had got it from, and just simply had them cause everyone else had them. Naturally, when my friend, Kait, suggested that we go to the Pokemon Center I was like – uhhh me? But I actually had so much fun! I got to see some familiar monsters – Pikachu being one of them, and got to see so much cute merchandise!
These are just a few articles that I could find from the Japan Info Website, though I know for a fact that I’ve written more – wish I kept my drafts.
This post was just a summary of what my role was at Japan Info – an intern writer.
